Getting to Goal, Maintenance, & Name Change???
Hi all!!! As I'm sure most of you have heard by now, I hit my goal weight of 137.8 pounds on Friday (2/13). It feels absolutely fantastic to finally accomplish something that I've been working toward for nearly four years.
To be completely honest, when I weighed in on Friday, I was expecting to have gained at least a pound. When my Leader weighed me and said I was down 2.6 pounds, I was floored. I knew that all I needed to lose to get to goal was 2 pounds, and I had expected to take a couple weeks to lose that. When Betty said I was down 2.6, I didn't believe her. I yelled a little bit, and started to tear up. It was definitely just like I had imagined it (mental storyboarding is a great tool for success--imagine what your success looks like and you will be successful). Betty had me talk about my journey and the things that I've learned along the way, and it was a really fantastic time. I'm still floating on a cloud!
Maintenance is new territory for me--I've been losing weight for almost four years now, and that's what I know. I'm a little nervous to start maintenance, but what I'll be doing is eating an additional 6pp/day and keeping active. I still get my 49 Weekly Points, and I can still earn and eat Activity Points (although I like to just be active without tracking AP's, because then I can't eat them). Although I'm nervous for it, I know that I can handle pretty much anything, and maintaining my weight loss is no different.
I thought I would have to change how I set my goals, but I realize that I don't, really. I can still set small, attainable goals (track 4 days a week, stay under my PP goal 4 days a week, prep meals for my 3 busiest days/week, etc.), and my big goal for the next 6 weeks is to be within two pounds of 137.8, so I can get to Lifetime and not have to pay for Weight Watchers anymore!
And what happens with this blog? I keep blogging, of course. I'm attached to the name, so I probably won't change it. I'm here to stay :)
