Adventures in Grocery Shopping - 7.25.13
Hello all!
Today, Brandon and I went grocery shopping and hit the gym. I have found that I really enjoy grocery shopping, simply because I get to control what goes in my cart. Also, groceries are one thing that I don't mind spending the money on--gotta put good things in, to get good things out!
Today, I ended up with a bag of frozen cage-free chicken breasts, some SmartOnes and a box of WW ice cream bars, romaine lettuce, baby spinach, a tub of plain greek yogurt,
a bottle of balsamic vinaigrette, and...
PB2!!! I've known about this for SO long, and I found it today so of course I bought it! PB2 is a powdered peanut butter. Sounds weird, right? You mix 2tbsp of PB2 with 1 tbsp of water and it turns the powdered peanut butter into a regular one! The best part: in every 2tbsp of PB2, there are only 45 calories, compared to 190-210 per 2tbsp of regular peanut butter (the caloric content really depends on the brand and whether the peanut butter is chunky or smooth). Finding it in Walmart was the highlight of my day!
My plan for tonight is actually to go out again and find some basil and some bread crumbs, and then start preparing meals for the week! Hooray for planning!

After we finished grocery shopping, Brandon and I headed to the gym. All I did was 35 minutes on the elliptical, but it was enough for me. For lunch, I cooked up some chicken and threw it in a salad, with some balsamic vinaigrette.
My super yummy salad! |
