Finals Week Thoughts

1) THREE DAYS!!!!! There are 3 days left until I go home and I'm EXCITED--and also dying a little because everybody else is starting to go home and my flight doesn't leave until Sunday :(

2) Grandpa arrived in NH on Tuesday! I don't know if I'll get to see him before Friday but at some point, he's going to come see campus and my apartment (which means I should probably clean it), and I'm really stoked to see him because I missed him lots!

3) I have this lingering sore throat and I'm PRAYING that it either goes away or just continues to be a sore throat for my flight. I flew here in August while I was sick, and it was a god awful experience... I definitely don't want to do that again, especially because this time I have a layover and will be traveling for longer.

4) Since this is supposed to be a weight loss blog, I suppose I should mention that I am chugging along with my weight loss--I am at 145.0 as of this morning. My goal for the end of the year is to be at 142.8 by New Year's Eve. That's 2.2 pounds that I will need to lose in 13 days. I think it's doable! I want to end the year with a 75 pound loss, regardless of whether or not it's "official" (meaning that it's recorded via weigh-in at WW).

5) For the last two weeks, I've been planning all of my meals out, because I want to make sure I run out of food right before I leave, so it's been really easy for me to stay on track! I give myself stickers in my tracker every day that I don't go above my daily PointsPlus goal. So far this week, I've given myself stickers three days in a row! I love the satisfaction that comes with sticking a little gingerbread man sticker onto my tracker!

6) My room is trashed right now. I'm kind of packing, kind of just using my suitcase as a throw-all spot, kind of sitting and looking at the mess/being overwhelmed by it. I'm nervous about flying home because I've never flown United before and have never had to deal with a layover, either.

7) And, finally, I did some frickin AWESOME things in the gym last night--the last time I did squats before last night, I found out that my one rep max is 125lbs, and last night I did one set of five reps of 100lbs!!!! Super awesome. I also did weighted lunges (3 sets of 8-10 reps per leg at 50lbs) which KILLED, and kettlebell swings. I love love LOVE short but effective workouts!
